The weather seemed to be clearing up, but a cold wave is raging again. The lowest temperature in Gosan and Seongsan started at around 3 degrees Celsius. A strong wind advisory has been issued for the eastern and western regions, and the wind chill in Gosan has dropped to nearly -4 degrees Celsius. Temperatures will drop further over the weekend, continuing the bitter cold. Rain and snow are expected to begin overnight. Heavy snowfall of up to 15 cm is expected in the central and eastern regions through Sunday, and up to 25 cm or more in the mountainous regions. Coastal areas are also expected to see up to 10 cm of snow along with rain. Heavy snowfall is expected to intensify between tomorrow night and the afternoon of the day after tomorrow, potentially leading to a heavy snow advisory. Please be especially careful to avoid damage from snow. Regional temperatures are also expected: Aewol and Seongsan will reach -1 degree Celsius tomorrow morning, and temperatures will remain around 1 degree Celsius during the day. The daytime temperature in Namwon is expected to be 4 degrees Celsius. Mountainous areas will see temperatures ranging from -9 to -4 degrees Celsius during the day. There is a possibility that access to Hallasan Mountain will be restricted due to heavy snowfall over the weekend. A gale warning is currently in effect for all seas. Swells in the southern seas will reach up to 4 meters, and in other seas, up to 3.5 meters. As the warning is likely to remain in effect until early next week, all sailing and fishing vessels should exercise extreme caution. The cold weather will continue into the weekend. Tomorrow morning, Seoul is expected to reach 12 degrees Celsius, Jeonju -9 degrees Celsius, and Daegu -5 degrees Celsius. Looking at the Asian weather, Hong Kong will see only occasional clouds, while Osaka will see cloudy skies throughout the day. Jeju will see its coldest day of the winter, with temperatures dropping below zero on Sunday morning. Rain is forecast for next week from Tuesday afternoon to Wednesday morning.
