Early Access Launch of DRG: Rogue Core, Rock and Stone!

00:00 - Buying the Game and Waiting for my Sister 31:40 - Approximately when I actually start playing Shoutout to Ghost Ship Games for making their press kit publicly available so I could make a thumbnail that doesn't feel awful to look at compared to the rest of the thumbnails I do. Release day is finally here! My sister will be joining me for at least an hour before she goes to work, and we'll see how much more I'm up to playing after that. If you haven't heard of Rogue Core before, it's a standalone game built on the foundation of Deep Rock Galactic, but geared toward gunplay over mining/exploration and fundamentally roguelite. Each mission has you and your friends delving into Deep Rock's deep core mining facilities that have gone dark as a result of the "Greyout", where all communication was cut and a large electromagnetic field enveloped the core of Hoxxes IV. Normal mining contracts don't cover this level of danger, therefore DRG has elected to send the Reclaimers, elite special forces trained to remove obstacles in the way of mining operations. Each facility has 3-6 floors, where you will fight waves of corespawn, mine expenite, a wundermineral that gives you upgrades, and eventually reach the bottom to seal a rift at the base of the operation, allowing mining operations to resume. I've never played it before, but I've watched basically every dev stream, so I'm at least aware of the differences in the game.
