The BEST and Worst ULTRALIGHT sleeping pads.
The best ultralight sleeping pads for backpacking—ranked from worst to least awful. I don’t like sleeping pads. I’ve slept on a lot of them, and most of them are bad. This video is a slow march from the pads I genuinely dislike, to the ones I can tolerate, and finally to the one I don’t actually hate using on trail. After that, I stop pretending a “best” pad exists and talk about what I really want: what a perfect ultralight sleeping pad would look like—if anyone ever decided to make one. This is not a buyer’s guide. It’s just opinions, miles, sleep deprivation, and mild rage.
