Make Your Own Gel Print Zines: no sewing, no tools, no binding, SIMPLE!

Want a fun, creative project you can make in minutes? In this video, I show you how to make your own gel print zines using just a single sheet of paper, a gel plate, and a pair of scissors. No sewing, no binding, and no special tools needed! You’ll learn: ✨ What zines are and why they’re so perfect for artists, crafters, and kids ✨ The simple supplies you need (an 11x14" or 12x18" sheet of paper + a 3x5" gel plate, which works on both sizes of paper) ✨ How to fold your paper hamburger and hotdog style ✨ The one small cut that transforms your flat sheet into a mini art booklet ✨ My two essential gel printing tips: use less paint and keep your hands clean ✨ How to decorate your zine pages with prints made from herbs, ferns, recycling-bin textures, vintage swag, cut-glass… and more! I also share two versions of the project: 📘 A larger zine made from a 12x18" sheet with 6 different prints 📗 A smaller zine made from an 11x14" sheet using a 3x5" plate (perfect for kids!) Folding directions: • First fold the paper lengthwise (hot dog style). Press the edge with a spoon, ruler, popsicle stick or bone folder. • Then open it up and fold it the other way (hamburger style). Press the edge. • Flatten the paper so that the longest part runs left to right, instead of top to bottom. Grab the right edge of the paper and fold it to the center and press; then do the left side. • Fold the paper hamburger style with the fold toward you. With the scissors, cut along the center fold only halfway. • Open up the paper and flatten it on the table. With your hands, push up on it like you’re creating a volcano. The hole in the center will get smaller. • Push the paper into pages by creasing them along the fold marks. Ta-da! You have a zine!
