This Guitar Recently SOLD... This Marc Bolan "Aged Chablis" Les Paul Standard is 'number "1" one of just one hundred guitars specially made in 2011. Perfect in every detail, this superb guitar has a nice 'Burst' weight of 9.50 lbs. Two-piece solid carved 'Aged Chablis' maple top with single-ply cream binding on a one-piece solid mahogany body. One-piece mahogany neck with a huge nut width of 1 23/32 inches, a standard Gibson scale length of 24 3/4 inches and a medium profile. Single-bound ebony fretboard with 22 medium jumbo frets, inlaid pearl block position markers and black side-dot markers. Headstock with inlaid pearl "Gibson" with pearl five-piece split-diamond inlay. Individual gold-plated Grover Roto-Matic tuners with kidney-shaped metal buttons. Serial number "Marc Bolan / 001" inked-on in white to back of headstock. One Custom Bucker zebra-coil humbucker with Alnico 3 magnet in the neck position and one Custom Bucker black-coil humbucker with Alnico 3 magnet in the bridge position, both with cream plastic surrounds and outputs of 7.65k and 7.96k respectively. Four controls (two volume, two tone) with 'Bumblebee' tone capacitors, on lower treble bout, plus three-way pickup selector switch on upper bass bout. Gold-plastic bell-shaped "Bell" knobs. ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic non-retainer bridge with metal saddles and separate gold-plated aluminium stopbar tailpiece. This guitar is in mint-aged (9.50) condition. Housed in the original Gibson Custom, five-latch, shaped 'Marc Bolan' black hardshell case with maroon plush lining (9.50). Complete with the original black leather folder containing the Gibson Custom Certificate of Authenticity: "Marc Bolan Les Paul Aged" / Marc Bolan 001 / The instrument bearing the serial number above is part of a limited run / hand-built by Gibson Custom, where highly skilled artisans are / committed to carrying on the company's century-old tradition of creating / exquisite, investment-quality instruments. Dan Spree is playing 1968 Hofner 500/1 Violin Fretless Bass item # 01807 This unbelievably rare, near mint and totally original 'German' 1968 Hofner 500/1 "Violin" fretless bass weighs just 4.80 lbs and has a two-inch thick, eleven inch wide, 'violin' shaped full hollow-body with a nitro-cellulose one-piece spruce top. 'Curved' one-piece book-matched laminated 'flamed' maple back and triple-bound laminated maple sides. Ono-piece maple neck with a nut width of just over 1 9/16 inches and a wonderful fat profile and a 'short' heel. Rosewood fretboard with a 'zero' fret and twenty-two original flat white fret lines and pearloid dot position markers. Individual 'van Gent' closed-back tuners with squared-off white plastic oval buttons. Black laminated headstock face with "Hofner" script decal in gold. Gold decal on back of headstock "Genuine / Hofner / Original / Made in Germany" and another smaller decal with the serial number printed in black. Two Hofner 513 (blade) single-coil pickups with engraved "Hofner" and individual height adjustments, with outputs of 6.47k and 6.54k. Two 'rotary' volume controls and three two-way 'slider' switches for "Rhythm/Solo", "Bass" and "Treble". Hofner black plastic control knobs with ribbed sides and aluminium tops, all on a 'wide' rectangular mother-of-pearl base with black edging (stamped in black "D.G.M. cng"). The original potentiometers are made by 'Preh' and are all stamped "706" (February 1967). Original three-ply 'mother-of-pearl' over black plastic pickguard with the "Hofner" script engraved in black. 'Floating' four-saddle ebony bridge with ebony base with four 'friction-fit' moveable saddles. Hofner specific 'short' nickel 'trapeze' style tailpiece. Cream plastic strap buttons on neck heel and tailpiece.This super rare bass in in almost new (9.50) condition. Housed in the Original Hofner four-latch, shaped black hardshell case with medium blue plush lining (9.00).
