The White-crested Laughingthrush (Garrulax leucolophus) is a highly social bird, usually seen in flocks of six to twelve or more. It inhabits evergreen forests, bamboo forests, open woodland, and other well-wooded habitats across much of Thailand. Bathing is an important part of a bird's daily routine. Besides cooling off, it helps remove dust from the feathers, keeps the plumage in good condition, and prepares the bird for efficient flight. Many birds also bathe together, giving the flock more eyes to watch for predators and warn one another of danger.
