As a laboratory technician, he produced uranium concentrate, which was shipped in specially secured cans and under strict escort to the Soviet Union. There, it was used, among other things, to produce Soviet nuclear weapons. What was it like working at R-1? Was it safe? How did Soviet supervisors treat Polish workers? And was it even worth working there? Zbigniew Regewicz, our host's grandfather, worked at these plants. Some time ago, we published an interview with him for our supporters.
