Tripti Dimri on controversial Animal scene, financial lows, not having work, Ranbir, Prabhas' Spirit

Tripti Dimri catapulted to stardom with her recent stint in Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal that is enroute to minting 500 crore at the domestic box office. Post the super success of the film, Triptii joined Galatta India host Nayandeep Rakshit on a brand new show Path Breakers 2023. The film, that is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, received a thunderous applause at the ticket counters but met with a polarising response to the content. While many felt it was misogynistic, many also lauded the film for the way it has been shot and its terrific performances. Triptii, who is being called the national crush now, responds to all of the chatter and reveals how art is just an initiation of life and is meant just to entertain. She speaks about her years of struggle as a newcomer, trying to find good parts and being rejected several times. While recollecting a shocking incident, she tells how a casting agent once told her that her eyes don't emote and won't work for movies. She also discusses how it took her years to get her due despite having performances like Laila Majnu, Bulbull and Qala to her credit.
