Bell Ringing at West Grinstead, W Sussex

They are clear, twangy and punchy inside, although outside they seem a little lost in the huge tower! They handle very reasonably too – except for the whopping great unguided draught! Personally, I didn’t find them too flighty or tricky – although one did have to pull the handstroke firmly and the backstrokes straight to compensate for the length of rope! Some people coped better than others; however, the standard of ringing we produced here was excellent, and there wasn’t a single missed sally, which is excellent!
