Photography 37: UV Filters, why or why not and the Cokin A Series.
UV (Ultra Violet) filters or "lens protectors" are a very controversial topic. Many advocates will tell tales of lenses saved by these filters while detractors will talk of images ruined. I try to keep it to my experience as one who sometimes does and sometimes does not use them. The remainder of this video deals with the Cokin A Series filter system, a mostly obsolete system useful on smaller lenses and similar in concept to the Lee system still in use. I apologize for the length and the choppy editing, I am still on the steep side of the learning curve for my new video software. Enjoy
