『GENKI 1』Lesson 8 (3)┃ と思います (to omoimasu) - How to say "I think..." in Japanese

To describe what you think, you use the short form + と思います (I think that...). と is a quotation particle, which does the job of both the English word "that" in indirect quotation and of the quotation marks (" ") in direct quotation. When talking with close one, use ~と思う, not the polite form と思います。 This is a video intended for students of Japanese language to learn the basics of Japanese grammar and vocabulary. I am a student of the Japanese language who wants to share my knowledge of the basics of the Japanese language.
