Resti, Salamina | A quiet corner of the island Resti is located on the western side of the town of Salamina, inside the bay, between the island’s main town and Iliakti. Following the route after the fork of Agios Nikolaos and the street of the same name, where one can find several shops, mostly cafés, restaurants, and entertainment venues, we reach the boatyard. From there, just a few meters further on, turning left, Resti Avenue begins — a road that leads to a quieter and less well-known side of Salamina. The area of Resti includes the settlements of Simaia, Spithari, and Galini. Here, holiday homes and tourist residences are predominant, while there are also several permanent homes belonging to people who have chosen this particular spot for their everyday life. The landscape maintains a low-key character, away from heavy traffic, while still being very close to the center of Salamina. Resti is one of those places that does not try to impress at first glance. Yet it wins visitors over with its simplicity, its sea breeze, and the feeling of an authentic corner of the island.
