[RI 79] Mitsubishi & KONE Elevators - Wangaya Hospital, Denpasar, ID

🇮🇩 Happy Independence Day (17 August) for all Indonesian elevator enthusiasts and viewers! For this Independence Day special, here's a mini elevator exploration with local elevator enthusiast ‪@mzelrs‬ at a local hospital. My FIRST collaboration with another elevator enthusiast from the same hometown! This hospital has a total of five elevators; four for bed transport and one designed for normal passenger use. They were made by two different manufacturers, in this case, Mitsubishi and KONE. There are only two buildings in the hospital installed with elevators, while the rest are just single or double storey buildings without elevator(s) so we didn't bother to check those. The first set of elevators are inside the Pavilion Praja Amerta, a rather old three storey building in the southern part of the hospital complex. They're standard Mitsubishi GPS-BIII from the 2000s, and although they look rather worn out they actually run very well and quiet. The only other Mitsubishi GPS-BIII installation in Bali that I know so far is at the BIMC Kuta Hospital, but since it's a private hospital security is always sitting outside the elevator so it's impossible to film it. We also demonstrated the "Reserved Operation" mode on one of the cars to make the video a bit more interesting. I've explained a little bit more detailed about it further down in the description. The last three elevators are in Building B, which was built in the late 2010s. Not much to say about the small passenger elevator but this was my first time seeing the smaller KONE KDS 330 buttons. The bed elevators are the most interesting ones as they're in fact two different brand and type! One is a Mitsubishi NEXIEZ-MR and the other is a KONE S MonoSpace MRL. They also have different capacity, and the KONE has a rear door which only opens on the 1st floor. Not sure why would they installed two different brands, but nevertheless both elevators are quite nice. About the Reserved Operation mode in the Mitsubishi elevators. In this mode, the elevator will go straight to the selected floor whilst ignoring all hall calls for medical emergency purpose. It's basically like an independent control mode. Reserved Operation mode only works in Mitsubishi bed elevator models like GPS-BIII (and possibly GPS-BII as well), NexWay-S Series AW and NEXIEZ-MR Hospital. It doesn't work on any regular passenger models even if one has a door hold button. To enable this mode, simply press both the door open and hold button together and hold down the desired floor button until the door is shut; if you let go the button the door will reopen. Strangely, while normally the mode doesn't allow you to select multiple floors, it's actually possible to do that on the GPS-BIII elevators and if you do that the elevator will return to normal operation.
