Harbor Freight Band Saw - Part 8 - DIY Chip Tray

My Central Machinery 4x6 horizontal/vertical band saw needed a DIY chip tray to collect the metal shavings. I completed the custom stand in part 7 of my Harbor Freight Band Saw series. Now in part 8, I show how a tray was made from galvanized flashing. Thicker material can be used, if desired, for a much nicer, more robust tray. I don't know if a blade coolant system will be needed some day so I didn't want to spend much time or money on what may be a temporary tray. Below are some links to replacement blades for this saw.
