East Tennessee Blues fiddle

East Tennessee Blues is a Texas style fiddle breakdown, probably written by Charlie Bowman in the 1920's. In this fiddle lesson I teach a version based on the playing of Bobby Hicks. First a straightforward and fairly easy play- through, then one full of complex double stops and position changes, suitable for a contest. I use on-screen sheet music, and a pdf copy of East Tennessee Blues is available free to subscribers (see below).
