Wahl KM Hinges: https://sharpedgesok.com/product/wahl... ============================================================================== Troubleshooting a Wahl KM Cordless Clipper | Sharp Edges Transcript: Hey groomers, this is Jessie with Sharp Edges in Oklahoma and just got a, um, a KM cordless clipper in for service. Um, nothing particularly wrong with it. The groomer said, uh, just hadn't it serviced in a while and it was kind of loud. So when we get these in, one of first things we do is I put a blade on it and yeah, that definitely sounds pretty loud. Also, while I have the blade on, I'll check the hinge and you guys can do this with your hinge at any time. While it's on there, will, without pushing this button, I will pull back on the blade to see if there's much movement. And there doesn't seem to be. So the hinge is okay. All right. So the first thing we'll do, take off this clipper grip. Maybe. I should have this off before I started the video. Anyway, all right, gripper grip off. I'm going to blow off this area here on the hinge so I can see what's going on here. Excuse the loud noise. All right, now I'm gonna go ahead take it apart. This takes a, uh, a Phillips #1 bit, so we'll take these 3 screws out. All And when I open this up here, a couple things I'll be looking for. All right, take this out, put the battery in the top over here. Um, I want to look for these foam pads, and actually this looks like I've replaced these foam pads before in the past. That's one thing that can cause this clipper to get loud is these will get compressed really bad or they'll move out of position so it's not, you know, really cushioning the vibration from the motor. All we're going to take out the old lever, and my trusty assistant Paul will hand me a new one. Also, what we're going to look for is we're going to check— we're going to check the screws on the motor. Um, that can be another source of vibration if these little motor screws right here are not tight. That one seems to be good. Let me, um, check the one on the other side of the motor. I'm going to take the hinge off to do that, and I can pick this up and I can check this other screw. Okay, it seems to be snug, and this foam looks to be a little compressed. Um, I don't think it needs to be replaced yet. Put this— the motor back down. Oh, probably help if I it in right way. All right, we're gonna see the grease pole. right, I'm gonna take a little dab of grease. I am going to blow this out a little bit. All right, let's put it back together. Now watch out for these little red wires. You to make sure you get them back inside the body, um, because they, they tend to want to pinched between the body and the clipper. Get everything down together. Put all 3 screws back in, and we'll put the right bit back in the screwdriver. Okay, now you don't have to worry if you didn't get this, um, this hanger bail put back on right. Um, when you put it back together, it's easier actually to do it after it's together and just slide it on like that. We'll reinstall the hinge. I'll go ahead and blow that hair out. Automatic. And we'll swap back bits again. and 2. We'll snug those up. This is a Torx 10, a T10 bit. Did you enjoy watching our videos?
