Club Championship Round 1 – Can I Take the Lead?

Well... this is the day! Welcome to Round 1 of the Club Championship at my home course, Shanklin & Sandown Golf Club. After everything that happened before the tournament, it's finally time to tee it up and see if I can compete against the best golfers at the club. The early scores are already setting the standard, with some seriously impressive rounds posted. The question is... can I keep up and put myself in contention going into the final round? The golf course is playing completely different from normal. The fairways are firm and fiery, the rough is punishing, and the greens have been cut to championship speed. They're faster than anything we see throughout the rest of the year, meaning every approach shot and every putt has to be absolutely precise. For those who are new to the channel, I'm Josh Oddy, a Mini Tour Professional and +6 handicap golfer, but as every golfer knows, handicaps don't mean much when the pressure is on. The Club Championship is one of the biggest events of the year, and every shot matters. Can I handle the pressure, avoid the big mistakes, and give myself a chance of becoming Club Champion?
