And one of the Carpets is privy to Lorna's secret. Review: A Family Triangle in the Wild West Charlton Heston directed two good Westerns: "The Big Country" and "Three Violent People." "Three Violent People" promises plenty of suspense and entertainment. The film is about a former Confederate soldier (Charlton Heston) who is married to a Southern belle who keeps her past as a saloon girl (Anne Baxter) a secret. When the husband finds out, he loses interest in his wife. Then the soldier's brother (Tom Tryon) takes over. This is Anne Baxter's best Western. I believe it's her only one. Tom Tryon directed two other good films: "The Cardinal" and "In Harm's Way." He then retired in 1971 and became a successful novelist. This film features some of Hollywood's finest supporting actors.
