WNYW Commercial Breaks (February 11, 2005)
Taken from The Simpsons reruns on Fox O&O WNYW (channel 5) in New York City. The call letters were a derive from the original WNEW name, but the slogan suggests "What New Yorkers Watch." The Simpsons is now 35 years old! The show premiered yesterday, in 1989, on Fox, back when the network aired Sunday, Monday and Saturday primetime shows. The show broke into the Top 30 that season, a first for Fox, and after a few years on Thursday's, The Simpsons became a Sunday night household name on Fox.
