Test drive of the Toyota Corolla Cross in the Premiere Edition trim level. Toyota's new crossover features a fifth-generation hybrid drivetrain. It consists of a naturally aspirated, four-cylinder 2.0-liter petrol engine producing 171 horsepower and an electric motor generating 113 horsepower, for a total system output of 197 horsepower, driving the front wheels via an eCVT continuously variable transmission. The new Toyota Corolla Cross is also available in a 4x4 configuration, with the electric motor powering the rear axle. In Toyota's lineup, the Corolla Cross fills the size gap between the CH-R and the RAV4. It is a stylish C-segment crossover, rivaling the likes of the Nissan Qashqai, Ford Kuga, Skoda Karoq, Opel Grandland, Dacia Duster, Honda HR-V, Kia Niro, Hyundai Tucson, and Mazda CX30. The Corolla Cross debuted in 2020. It's built on the TNGA-C platform, which also underpins the aforementioned Toyota CH-R and Corolla. As many as 1,800 people pre-ordered the Corolla Cross in Poland. This may be due to the car's exceptional practicality and safety. Drivers are supervised by the 3rd generation of Toyota Safety Sense – an artificial intelligence-based safety assistance system. It comprises numerous features, including lane-keeping assist, a pre-collision warning system, and a new feature – an emergency stop system. The system is always updated thanks to the car's constant internet connection. I see many advantages to compact C-segment crossovers.
