Though not very influential, the Aerocar was created by a business partner of Henry Ford. The company was short-lived, and the structure was later utilized by the Hudson Motor Car Company, one of the most influential car companies of its day. After Hudson left for Jefferson Avenue, the plant on Mack Avenue was used for various businesses and is currently for sale.
