MUIÑEIRA DO MESTRE o Sordo e os Lazarillos

After a while working hand in hand with the craftsmen of Gaitas Eduardo Represas (Eduardo on the bagpipes and Marcos on the reeds) the time has come to see if we are right or wrong. The idea was to see if timbre and tuning could share pieces without detuning in the middle. We were satisfied with the end result and although the last bagpipes I tried fit my molds perfectly, I still needed to put them next to bagpipes from other craftsmen to satisfy the blind, to see what we see. In this case and shortly after putting them together we can see that we have zero problems and both bagpipes play very well, I mean, there is no problem at all. So here I leave you the rehearsal we had yesterday afternoon "o Sordo e os Lazarillos" and half-cold from the first we proposed to play "Muiñeira do Mestre" with two bagpipes and percussion. Vanesa Carrera and I on the bagpipes and Aarón in the background on traditional Galician drums, recorded with a cheap Chinese-made phone. Muiñeira do Mestre. Pipes by Seivane and Eduardo Represas. Composition by Xurxo Jachía.
