How do I replace a wheel bearing in a VW Golf 4? My rear right wheel bearing is defective. It knocks when driving. When the car changes load (in a curve), I hear the noise from the wheel bearing, sometimes louder and sometimes quieter. When turning left, the wheel bearing is louder and then quieter on the right. This means that the rear right wheel bearing is defective.
