He is a columnist, author, speaker, anchor, traveller, blogger and vlogger. Today, Jay is one of the most popular young authors in Gujarati print media. His versatile columns, Spectrometer and Anavrut, as a special correspondent, are running for the last 25 years in the ‘Gujarat Samachar’, a number one daily in Gujarati with approximately 7 million readers. He has 3,50,000+ followers and friends on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, etc. He has penned more than 4000 articles for several publications. They cover a wide eclectic array of subjects. All 16 books by him are constant in the bestsellers list. ‘Jay Ho’, ‘JSK’, ‘Mummy-Pappa’ and ‘Preet Kiye Sukh Hoy’ have crossed 20,000 copies landmark in Gujarati. They are followed by ‘Yuva Hava’, ‘Superhero Sardar’, ‘Ye Dosti’, ‘Knowledge Nagariya’, 'Jaytva' , 'Khata rahe rahe mera dil' etc. In 2004, a visit to the USA under the ‘International Visitor’s Program’ by the US State Department was his first journey abroad. Besides his regular US visits, he made numerous others as an author to countries like UK, Germany, Israel, Dubai, Thailand, Singapore, Netherlands, France, Canada, Italy, Switzerland, Kenya, New Zealand, Oman, Greece, Holland, Cambodia, Austria, etc. As a graduate student of management, he holds a record of winning more than 300 elocution/quiz/essay contests in India. After leaving his job as a college principal in 2002, so far, he has delivered more than 6000 public speeches on various topics across the globe, many of them are on his official YouTube channel ‘planetJV’. He has also anchored and scripted TV talk shows and radio shows. His travelogues are much appreciated by various tourism departments within India and abroad. His blog is number one in Gujarati blogs.
