Thel Carey - Wildwood Flower

Rick and Thel began touring in 1957 with shows such as Reg Lindsay and Heather McKean. They put together the All Star Western Show in 1959, but in 1960 they went out on the road with their own show. They continued touring for 30 years exactly, all over Australia, until Thel's illness forced them off the road and into retirement in 1987. RICK (Born in Sydney NSW 1927) And THEL (Born in Glossodia NSW 1929 - 1998)...Recorded Circa 1963...Started in 1949 As The "Sliprail Swingsters"...Married in 1952...Performed Until 1987 We often hear them singing together but just wanted to highlight Thel's beautiful voice with these two solo songs of the Carter Family.
