Protecting human rights at international level
In this video, Professor De Schutter discusses the mechanisms for the protection of human rights at international level. He presents the main regional human rights mechanisms in existence, but focuses his presentation at the universal level of protection. Introducing this section of the course he distinguishes the UN Charter-based mechanisms from the treaty bodies established by the nine core UN human rights instruments.
