The Blessing - Male Harmony Demonstration

Welcome to Better Harmony! My name is Brett, and I'm a teacher and worship pastor. If you're a guy who sings harmonies in worship services (or who wants to learn how), you have come to the right place. Through this series, I want to help you become a more confident performer so that you can lead worship effectively alongside your team! In this video, I demonstrate the male BGV part for the song "The Blessing" by Elevation Worship, Kari Jobe, and Cody Carnes. Note that when the sheet music shows both parts, the male harmony is always the lower line. If there's only one part, that's the melody. For a full tutorial, check out the other videos on my channel. NOTE: At 2:58, there is a discrepancy between the harmony I perform and the written harmony. This is due to the fact that the melody was changed (the lead vocalist optioned up) and I followed her. Disclaimer: The harmony parts performed in this video are merely my suggestions based on how I would instruct a background vocalist to perform the part. Always defer to your worship leader when adding harmonies in a worship music setting.
