How To Install Dashcam on BMW X5 with EASY HARDWIRE Instruction

Thanks for following ‪@ktgarage1126‬ In this video, I will go step by step on how to install a Dashcam on your BMW X5. This is a 2016 model, but the procedure should be similar for other model years. I will go over all the trim pieces that's needed to be removed in order to hide all the wires. The biggest challenge for most DIY guys is how to tap into a constant power source to hard wire. Most of the new cameras require 2 sources of power. An ignition source, which is turned off when the car is off. The second source is the constant power that is live when the car is off. This allow the camera to continue recording events that are happening when the car is off. Most of them have sleep mode that are activated with either sound or motion. This video will show you a simple and effective way to tap into these two sources of power. I have seen other videos that people trying to cut wires from the fuse box and connect to a relay and all source of craziness. There is no need for any of that. My method is very simple and you can tap into it right at the front fuse box. No need to cut ANY wires from the car to hardwire your Dash cam.
