Canon C300 Mark II Review and Comparison with the C100 OG.

The C300 was Canon's first cinema line camera, the first of many, released in 2011. It was followed in 2012 by the C100, a stripped down, much cheaper camera. Both shot 1080HD only, but on a 4K sensor. In 2015 the C300 mark II was released, offering 4K and Face autofocus. In this video I look at the features of the C300 mkII with some comparisons to the original C100, which shares much of the exterior design. The video was shot on the Sony FX30 in 1080HD, which was something of a mistake, as the quality of 1080 on this camera is apparently notoriously bad. B-roll was shot mostly on the Blackmagic 6K Pro, or captured via HDMI on the original Atomos Ninja Blade, still useful though released in 2014. 00:00 - Introduction 07:55 - C100 Weight 08:10 - C100 Battery 09:49 - Remove C100 top handle 10:54 - C300-2 Weight 11:34 - C300-2 Battery 12:36 - C300-2 top handle 15:31 - Remove C300-2 top handle 17:17 - Control buttons 18:19 - Rear controls 20:02 - Media 21:19 - Rear select focus more 22:15 - Ports 26:45 - Battery chargers 28:18 - C300-2 display 32:02 - Functionality differences 32:40 - Codecs 34:14 - Face Recognition AF 37:07 - Slow Motion 41:47 - Exposure Setting 42:48 - Slow Motion 44:05 - Menu System 46:18 - Conclusion
