For variant-wise details & reviews, go to - http://bit.ly/2qdUWJT Following the success of the Creta, Hyundai is set to take its SUV ambitions to the next level with the Tucson. Slotting in between the Creta and Santa Fe, it enters a segment that hasn’t seen much success. However, armed with feature loaded packaging and a range of powertrains, the Tucson has the credentials to bring a dying segment back to life. The SUV is offered with 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder petrol and diesel engines, both offered with 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions that propel the front wheels. The petrol is the same motor offered with the sixth-generation Elantra, but in a slightly higher state of tune, producing 155PS of power and 192Nm of torque. The ‘R’ diesel engine debuts with the Tucson and plates up 185PS and 400Nm. Efficiency figures stand at 13.03kmpl/12.95kmpl for the petrol manual/automatic, while the diesel achieves 18.42kmpl/16.38kmpl for the manual and automatic versions respectively. As you’d expect from a Hyundai, the feature list is expansive and includes leather upholstery, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, a powered tailgate, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 6-speaker sound system. Priced at Rs 18.99-24.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the Tucson goes up against the likes of the Honda CR-V and Skoda Yeti.
