EastEnders | Frank kicks Lorraine Salter out | 1991

Lorraine Salter, estranged mother of Mandy, first appeared in November 1991 where she met Pat Butcher at a pick up joint. Causing obvious strain on Frank and Pat's marriage, Frank kicks her out in this classic scene. She would be seen only once again, in 1992, and returned in 2012 for 7 episodes, this time played by Victoria Alcock. This is a very early role of Linda Henry's. Here she first played Lorraine Salter before she took the role of Shirley Carter in 2006. Notice the slightly different theme tune? This was introduced in August 1991 when EastEnders went stereo. See VT clock: oi68.tinypic.com/ie14xz.jpg It would be used until December 1991 when a new stereo mix of the original theme tune was re-introduced. I have only ever seen two other instances where this 'stereo' version was used. Both in June & July 1988, for a regular episode, and an omnibus episode, respectively.
