Park is a style of BMX riding featuring a variety of obstacles such as ramps, bowls, quarterpipes and box jumps arranged in a challenging and creative layout. Riders use these obstacles to perform a variety of tricks, airs and grinds, incorporating a majority or all features into a single run. Using the contours of the course to gain speed instead of pedaling (pedaling usually detracts from scores), X Games Park riders use the obstacles for the air necessary to do huge tricks like 720s, double tailwhip combos and various inverts.
