Colombia's president-elect, Abelardo de la Espriella, appointed retired Major General Jorge Eduardo Mora López as his Minister of Defense. In an interview with NTN24, Mora López discussed his plans for the future administration and issued strong warnings to the illegal armed groups operating in the country. "We are going to launch a major, decisive offensive and we are going to attack illegal economies, drug trafficking, illegal mining, and, above all, the leaders of all these armed groups, who will once again feel the power of the State in Colombia," he said.
