I Came Back to Bowling After 30 Years. Here's What Surprised Me.

After more than 30 years away from competitive bowling, I've learned a few things about making a comeback. In this episode of We're Not Stumped, I share the three things that surprised me most about returning to the lanes: 🎳 #1 – The body doesn't work the same. What used to feel easy now takes a little more effort, a little more stretching, and a lot more recovery. 🎳 #2 – Some things actually never left. Despite the years away, certain instincts, memories, and feelings came right back the moment I stepped onto the approach. 🎳 #3 – Someone actually recognized me. I never expected that after all these years, someone would remember me from my days on the PBA Tour. This isn't a story about trying to relive the past. It's about discovering what still remains, finding joy in the process, and proving that sometimes it's not too late to take one more run. As the first person with limb loss to compete on the PBA Tour, I'm documenting my journey back to competition at the 2026 PBA60 World Championship. 👉 Subscribe for more episodes of my bowling comeback journey, adaptive sports stories, and conversations about overcoming challenges. #Bowling #PBA60 #BowlingComeback #WereNotStumped #MikeBolland #AdaptiveSports #OneMoreRun #PBA #DisabilityAwareness #NeverGiveUp
