Fuel pump leak fix - quick and cheap

My Volvo V70 started smelling like a gas station. Apparently this is a known issue with few cars. Part of the fuel pump assembly (probably made of Acetal kind of plastic) developed a crack over time and started leaking whenever the pump is working. I went to a professional who asked for about US $800 !!! the pump alone is few hundreds. So I decided to look at it myself as you can see. Finally I pored Epoxy adhesive (used Ceys brand :) and some Devcon brand not shown in the video). The Epoxy does not chemically bond to the plastic but its mechanical grip is good enough to hold tight in place and effectively stop the leak. I guess I saved few hundred bucks with this one. Hope it will last at least as the pump motor lasts. The movie is a little jerky because I held my Samsung Galaxy S3 in one hand while working with the other. The Galaxy S3 has really good video quality up to 1920x1080 !!! Update : Exactly 1 year after this fix, I started smelling again the fuel in my car and I knew exactly where it was coming from. Through the year I purchased on ebay a fuel pump just to discover it's the wrong part number at the moment I needed it (although the part is almost exactly the same). I went to the Volvo dealership and bought a new pump and also let them replace the pump since I could not get the fuel tank release wrench on time for the MOT test. Apparently , during the year , the fuel was eating it's way through the epoxy layers until it broke out of the epoxy. I could peel away the soften epoxy and redo the work if I had more time to play with it.
