Abstract mark making exploration with oil paint on canvas

Mark making Dan Tirels Exploration of mark making with oil paint on stretched canvas. 20" × 20" (gesso primed) I thought it would be interesting to show this compilation of edited videos showing how I try out ideas for future work. Canvas has the advantage of being able to remove the paint and experiment with adding layers. The work shown is not meant to be a resolved and finished piece but a series of experimental processes that could develop further and expand the mark making into a final painting or series using techniques discovered during these experiments.
