In this episode of Beyond Heaven, we talk with Nadia, a current singer and participant in the first generation of La Academia, who, despite achieving many of her dreams, discovered that fame, stages, gold and platinum records, nominations, and recognition couldn't fill the void in her heart. Nadia shares what it was like growing up in Oaxaca surrounded by music, art, and traditions; how from a very young age she dreamed of singing and going to Mexico City to fulfill her dreams; and how her life changed when she entered the country's first musical reality show, where she experienced a period of success, tours, concerts, fame, and great opportunities. But behind the scenes, there was also loneliness, insecurity, depression, body image issues, exhaustion, and a profound search for identity. In the midst of this process, Nadia began to draw closer to the Word of God, accompanying her brother to church, until little by little the Gospel transformed her heart. In this talk, Nadia speaks about repentance, the difference between remorse and a true life change, the importance of finding our identity as children of God, and the challenge of continuing to serve Christ within the artistic community. Nadia reminds us that our true identity is not in what we do, but in who we are before God.
