In this video Nuclear shell model is discussed on considering the Schrodinger wave equation and how the spin-orbital angular momentum interaction takes place. The similarity and differences between nuclear and atomic shell model has also been discussed e.g., Nuclear shell model is similar to the shell model of the atom i.e., like electrons nucleons also have shells and subshells and each nucleon occupies a well-defined energy level. Each shell is described as the energy level where particles having the same energy exists. In the shell model each nuclei in the nucleus is considered as a single particle that moves independently to the other nucleons.
