This trail serves as the primary access route to Red Cone and Radical Hill - two of Colorado's most challenging shelf road trails. Early season may have snow patches and deeper water crossings. Late season offers more stable conditions. HISTORICAL CONTEXT: The Webster Pass route follows historic mining roads from the 1860s-1880s silver boom. The Montezuma mining district produced significant silver ore, and remnants of this era are visible along the trail. The pass itself was used as a supply route between mining camps and served as a critical transportation corridor during Colorado's mining era.
