Star Wars Kylo Ren Costume Review - Costume Base

Full review of the Costume Base Kylo Ren costume with the Black series helmet. TheCostumeBase.com Kylo Ren costume review. I am about 5'7" in height and 209 lbs with a solid build and plan on wearing this costume for special events and premieres as a cosplay. The costume size I ordered was Large and fits very well. Overall rating for price would be 90% out of 100% satisfaction. Considering the price you would pay for an Anovos Kylo ren costumer ($3100 USD) or trying to source the materials and build one yourself, this item is a bargain! Mind you the Anovos costume is screen accurate so you pay for the accuracy and detail. But for those who are either on a budget or just want a decent costume I would recommend this item. I would also recommend coupling it with the Hasbro blackseries helmet and Kylo Ren style boots to sell the final look. The outer tunic reaches to the floor with my belt on. The fabric for this tunic and scarf is made of detailed fabric which is a very nice looking material. The pleated tunic shirt is excellent quality and will keep the user warm in cooler weather, however because I am from Australia I will find wearing this in summer to be quite hot. The zipper is small and I found it to be a decent zipper unlike some cheap costumes out there. The hood has a good deep length and is quite large fitting without the helmet. Unlike the original costume the hood is sewn onto the outer tunic. However once the helmet and scarf are on it makes the part. The pants are comfortable with high quality fabric and comfortable elastic waist band. The belt is of decent quality and is thick leather and made of runner with a 5" square Velcro strap on the back. I have been told this item is not 501st approved however I believe with some adjustments you can get it close to their standards. It is a cheap option to use as a base when you start building you Kylo Ren costume / prop. All up this is a wonderful addition to my Star Wars collection and once I get hold of a mannequin will have a nice room display when I am not wearing it.
