Washboard Factory run by Lineshaft- Canadian Woodenware Co
canadianwoodenwareco.com - This is a lineshaft-driven woodshop owned and built by Andy Sharpe, using the original equipment of the Canadian Woodenware Co that opened in 1906 to build washboards, toboggans, ladders and other woodenwares. Andy purchased and relocated all this machinery into an old Orange Lodge which he reinforced to bear the weight of so much cast iron. Every machine is driven by a flat belt connected to a clutch mechanism to turn individual machines on and off, which is connected to the main lineshaft that is constantly running. The washboards that he makes are built using the same processes as over 100 years ago, and come in two sizes with either glass or metal wash surfaces. They can be purchased here: https://www.canadianwoodenwareco.com/
