Shakedown Street (5/7/80) | Jerry Garcia Guitar Solo
Welcome to day 15 of my 25 Days of Jerry! Each day I will post some sort of Jerry goodness, whether it be a complete solo, rhythm part, transcription, or anything else I can think of. Today we have Jerry's solo on "Shakedown Street" from May 7, 1980, at at Barton Hall, Cornell University, in Ithaca, New York. This version is officially released on Road Trips Volume 3 Number 4. "Shakedown Street" debuted on August 31, 1978, at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. It opened the second set. And its final performance opened the second set on July 9, 1995, at Soldier Field, in the band's last performance. In between, it was played on average about 10 times per year, for a total of 163 performances of the song. "Shakedown Street" was also the title track of the band's tenth studio album, which was released on November 15, 1979 - more than a year after the song was first played. 🔔 Subscribe for more free Jerry Garcia and other Grateful Dead related content: https://bit.ly/2t3TPQC 💰 Craig's Tip Jar: https://paypal.me/craigacree Share this video with a friend:    • Shakedown Street (5/7/80) | Jerry Garcia G...  Contents: 00:00 Full performance (with tab) 01:11 Slow demo #25daysofjerry #gratefuldead #shakedownstreet
