Third reading, third formal vote in the National Assembly. After its initial adoption on May 27, 2025, and a second on February 25, 2026, members of parliament voted a third time on the bill concerning the right to assisted dying on Tuesday, June 30. Rejected twice by the Senate, the text will return to the Senate before going back to the National Assembly chamber on July 15 for a final vote before its promulgation. The text, initially introduced as a bill in 2024, whose examination was interrupted by the dissolution of Parliament, continued its progress as a private member's bill, first sponsored by MP Olivier Falorni, then by Philippe Vigier. Members of parliament adopted it for the third time this Tuesday, June 30, with 295 votes in favor and 232 against.
