There are about 40 types of aquatic plants growing healthily in “The Valley of Harmony”, creating a colourful and dynamic scenery of an underwater world. Stem plants in the layout create lively feeling whereas mosses on driftwoods and rocks reflect a “wabi-sabi” sense of time’s passage. All plants are flourishing to bring out the harmonious colour scheme thus the tranquillity and peace for this aquascape. Fish love to rest under the lush green canopy of Micranthemum ‘Monte Carlo’. Shrimps enjoy hanging out on the thick moss patches on the driftwoods and rocks along the sand ground. And the small pathway leads them to the unknown mysterious place behind. All of the aquarium’s “residents” including all small snails are well taken care of in this aquarium as Amano-san had once mentioned “To know Mother Nature is to love her smallest creations”. After IAPLC photo taking, the tank was let to grow freely and I truly love its new look.
