Could Deidara Have Beaten Itachi In Their Revenge Fight?

Itachi vs Deidara is a fight we saw in a brief flashback during the Sasuke vs Deidara fight. Deidara lost Itachi and found his jutsu to be beautiful art. Something Deidara hated. Something he couldn't accept. Deidara's journey in Naruto Shippuden after that, him joining the Akatsuki was only so he could get close to Itachi and destroy him. Deidara wanted to prove his art was superior. So Deidara trained and developed new techniques such as C4 Karura and trained his eye to resist genjutsu to fight Itachi. Unfortunately he never got his revenge fight. Deidara vs Itachi didn't happen because Deidara died in the Deidara vs Sasuke fight.
