Andy Gillion - Skyless (Guitar Cover)

Probably my favorite song from Andy's Neverafter album. I've wanted to cover this for years, and I actually learnt the entire song to do just that back in 2021, but it turned out the song was a bit harder than I expected and I eventually gave up. Now, five years later, I reckoned it'd be easy. I was wrong :D I did manage to do it in the end, but it did take a lot of practice, probably somewhere around eight hours of it. Hardest parts in the song are definitely the the tapping section and the riff before the last chorus. The solo was kinda difficult as well of course, but it was easier to memorize than the aforementioned sections so I didn't need to spend as much time on it. Also worth mentioning: Andy downpicks the entire song. People often point to James Hetfield and Master of Puppets as benchmarks for great downpicking - which they are, of course - but this song is 8% faster than MOP and Andy is still downpicking every single riff, even the string skipping sections. Insane stuff.
