"Cooly's Hot-Box" formed in New York City's thriving Acid Jazz scene during the 1990s by lead singer and drummer, "John-Christian Urich", and renowned soul singer & keyboardist "Angela Johnson", "Victor Axelrod (Keys, Programming) & Ernesto Abreu (Percussion)" burst onto the scene with "this track" featured on the "first Giant Steps compilation" release. CHB released two phenomenal full-length albums, "Take It," and "Don't Be Afraid, Get On" and created audience and critic rave reviews. CHB launched the careers of Urich and Johnson, with Urich going on to form seminal live house act "Tortured Soul", Angela Johnson sparked international success as a solo artist, composer & producer, releasing several albums and singles. *News: Tortured Soul's TSTC Records presents "Choice Cuts," a compilation of timeless classics from Cooly's Hot-Box, culled from the albums and singles of their body of work, re-released in their original sheen for your listening pleasure (edited from TSTC notes). I remixed & edited the track through Bias Peak Pro & GarageBand. Streaming compensation was performed on this recording to achieve it's optimal resolution peak. DSP Effects and "Audio Slate" were added protection for the artist and myself for the work rendered to deter public exploitation. All rights are owned by the artist and record company exclusively.
