A fisherman rescued after eight days at sea in a tinny risked going out in stormy weather to provide food for his family. Pone Apiuta was spotted by a Royal New Zealand Air Force crew on Friday, after drifting hundreds of kilometres from his home island of Pukapuka in the Cook Islands.
