Pastel Painting Impressionist Style
How to paint with pastels with artist Michael Pintar. In this video I take you through start to finish a piece that I created using a more impressionist color palette. The approach is similar to painting with oils; underpaint, add layers, etc. The entire piece took 45 minutes but this video is sped up to let viewers absorb the basic approach. Color temp is important saving the local color for last. That color is also most commonly "what you see".
