Convert your Ebike to a Generator - Part 2

Get some exercise and convert your electric bike into a generator! Part two is working on the mechanical components. Put your ebike to use even in the winter or rainy season. Convert it to an exercise bike that also generates electricity to store in a battery or power devices like small TVs while you pedal. I split the existing chains and then reconnect one chain directly between the pedals and the motor gear. So when you pedal, you're turning the motor. Right now I'm using a screwdriver as a tensioner for the chain but it's not a long term solution and likely puts extra stress on the chain, motor and pedals. I need to find a better chain tensioner.
